After the Show It's the After Party
The Brisbane Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival drew to a close last week.
Friday’s final night highlights show stood out as the jewel in the MBFF crown. The show included items from the 2015 Spring/Summer collections from Ubermen, Paul Hunt, Easton Pearson, and George Wu.
Jayson Brunsdon kept the crowd captivated with a classic ivory shirt paired with a beautiful Tulle Cocktail skirt made of Black Duchesse, Silk Organza and Paillette. George Wu meanwhile used floating layers of white silk to create elaborate bridal dresses.
And of course Ubermen prepared for spring/summer 2015 with an effortless focus on khakis and printed button downs.
At the conclusion of the week, stars and champagne intermingled to toast to the future of Brisbane fashion.
Earlier in the festival, the Ubermen launch party left WANM feeling confident that the future of Brisbane fashion is in capable hands. The night featured a showcase of local Brisbane design talent, local bands, and curated cuisine.
Model Citizen exhibited their sculpted neoprene sweaters which deliberately accentuate the wearer’s silhouette while the 400 Co. brought their trademark take on corporate-wear to the stage.
And of course Ubermen brought home the show with their optimistic floral prints, bright colours, and paisley galore.
